Generally Spring Onions are used for garnishing, specially in all Chinese cuisines. One day I thought, I should use these spring onions in some different way rather than just garnishing. Everyday, I have to think of some different curry for my hubby's lunch box. So, I decide to make this spring onions curry with boondi. Believe me, it was so delicious and yummy that everyone in my family loved it.



Preparation time : 10mins
Cooking time : 20mins
Servings : 3

Ingredients : (For 3-4 people)

Spring Onions(chopped)                  2cups
Boondi1cup
Onions(chopped)2tbsp
Tomatoes(chopped)3tbsp
Garlic(grated)1tsp
Green chilly(chopped)1tsp
Red chilly powderas required
Coriander powderas required
Turmeric powderas required
Saltas required


Method : How to make Spring onions with Boondi

  1. Chop spring onions, about 1-2 cm long.
  2. Saute garlic and onions in a pan.
  3. Now, add tomatoes and all spices and saute again for 5mins.
  4. Put spring onions into it, add small amount of water and cook for 3-4mins.
  5. Once the spring onions are cooked, add boondi and cover the lid for 3-4mins.
  6. Spring onions with boondi is ready to serve.

This Spring onions with boondi can be served with naan, chapati or any breads. There are more variants of this dish. You can replace this boondi with potatoes or mushrooms.
