There are several ways to prepare tomato chutney, and there is no standard procedure to follow. Different cook prepare it differently. Here, I have tried to give a different flavor to it. Basically, this was my hubby's idea to grill tomatoes before making the general tomato curry.

Cooking Time : 30 mins
Servings : 2
Ingredients:
| Tomatoes | 4 | 
| Onions | 1 (Sliced) | 
| Green chilie | 2-3 | 
| Curry | 8-10 leaves | 
| Salt | as required | 
| Red chilli powder | as per taste | 
| Curry powder | as required | 
| Asafoetida( Hing) | 1/2 tsp | 
| Olive oil | 2 tbsp | 
Method : How to prepare
- Cut the tomatoes from the middle into two equal halves. Keep them upside down on the pan, put some olive oil and grill it on low flame.Grill it for 15-20 mins approx till the bottom surface of the tomatoes turn little black.
 - In a deep cooking pan, take olive oil and add hing, green chilies onions and salt. Saute till it turns to golden brown in color.
 - After tomatoes are grilled, add them to cooking pan and mesh it completely.
 - Add all the spices to the pan and little water(as per required).
 - Cook it for 5-10 mins and serve hot.
